Within the framework of the project (Promoting the Right to a Fair Trial, Improving Conditions of Detention and Abolition of Torture), the Public aid Organization held a consultative and coordination meeting with representatives of universities in the Kurdistan Region (Jehan University, Salahaddin University, University of Duhok) to discuss the role of universities and students in improving policies and procedures in the Kurdistan Region regarding fair trials and preventing torture, by creating the opportunity for students to submit articles in this field. At the meeting, it was agreed that the articles would be on the topics (of fair trials, torture, and a moratorium on the death penalty), as well as the technical standards for the articles were agreed upon and the criteria were set for evaluating the articles.
