As part of the project “Improving the Human Rights Condition and Promoting Democratic Participation”, implemented by the Public Aid Organization with support from the Norwegian People’s Aid and in partnership with the Ozone Network for Environmental Preservation, an awareness seminar was held in Al-Rumaitha District, Al-Muthanna Province, on August 25, 2025.
The seminar was attended by 28 participants, including representatives of government and service departments, heads of civil society organizations, academics, and community leaders.
It was organized by Al-Weam Organization for Human Rights Defense, a member of the Ozone Network in Al-Muthanna, and focused on climate change, its challenges, and adaptation strategies.
This event is part of a series of 50 seminars organized across Iraq’s provinces to highlight climate change and promote community awareness of its risks and coping mechanisms.
