On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, the city of Fallujah in Al-Anbar Province hosted a dialogue seminar addressing climate change and ways to adapt to its growing impacts.
The seminar was part of the project “Improving the Human Rights Condition and Promoting Democratic Participation”, implemented by the Public Aid Organization with support from the Norwegian People’s Aid and in partnership with the Ozone Network for Environmental Preservation.
More than 40 participants from government and service institutions, private sector companies, academics, civil society organization leaders, and local leaders discussed possible solutions to address climate change in Iraq.
The event was organized by Sab’ Sanabel Organization for Relief and Development, a member of the Ozone Network, in cooperation with the Al-Anbar Directorate of Agriculture, as part of a series of fifty awareness seminars across Iraq aimed at raising awareness of the severity of climate change and the need to address it.
