As part of the project “Improving Human Rights Condition and Enhancing Democratic Participation (EDP)” implemented by the Public Aid Organization with support from the Norwegian People’s Aid, the Preparatory Committee for the Regional Conference in Basra held its regular meeting in Baghdad on July 17, 2025, at the office of the PAO, with the attendance of representatives from the organizing parties and relevant stakeholders.
The meeting resulted in the development of a work plan for organizing the regional conference on climate change in Basra. The plan included identifying the key themes of the conference, which is scheduled to take place on October 9–10, 2025, in Basra. The attendees also agreed on the conference agenda and the list of invitees.
