Under the supervision of the Shams Network for Election Monitoring, the Public Aid Organization PAO, concluded the Electoral Awareness Forum for Persons with Disabilities in Najaf Governorate. The forum was held as part of the project “Democracy and Transparency: Empowering Civic Engagement and Freedom of Media,” implemented by the Shams Network in cooperation with several civil society networks and organizations, in partnership with the Norwegian People’s Aid, and with support from the European Union.
The forum focused on persons with disabilities and minorities, aiming to enhance their political participation and raise awareness about the importance of the electoral vote as an effective tool for change, ensuring fairer and more inclusive representation in the democratic process.
