As part of their ongoing efforts to support the Hussaini processions, the PAO Volunteers Club team in Al-Muthanna Governorate carried out a cleaning campaign along the “Ya Hussein” route on August 6, 2025, in cooperation with the Directorate of Youth and Sports and the Al-Weam Organization.
The volunteers leveraged the large crowds during the month of Muharram to raise awareness about the importance of keeping the city clean. The campaign included the distribution of 200 garbage bags to the processions, with the participation of 10 volunteers from the PAO team, 10 from the Directorate of Youth and Sports, and 15 from Al-Weam Organization, in the presence of the Director of the Organizations Office and a representative from the Al-Muthanna Police Command.
These activities aim to promote environmental culture and link volunteer work to serving the community during religious occasions that witness a large influx of citizens.
