In a step reflecting a practical approach toward youth empowerment and strengthening the role of academic institutions, the Public Aid Organization (PAO) in Nineveh signed a joint Memorandum of Understanding with Al-Hamdaniya University on March 30, 2026. The agreement aims to develop students’ capacities and expand their opportunities for community engagement.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the organization’s president by the Director of PAO’s Nineveh office, while the university was represented by its President, Dr. Nashat Mubarak Saliwa, in the presence of several concerned stakeholders at the university premises.
The agreement focuses on building students’ capacities in key areas, including peacebuilding, strengthening social cohesion, promoting democratic values, and raising awareness of climate change risks. It also includes cooperation in organizing training workshops, conferences, and scientific seminars within Nineveh and beyond.
