The Athar Volunteer Team, working under the “Improving Human Rights Conditions and Enhancing Democratic Participation” program funded by Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), has officially begun its preparations to launch a community initiative aimed at boosting civic engagement, raising human rights awareness, and educating the public about climate change.
On November 5, 2025, the team held its preparatory meeting in Mosul with the participation of seven members (four males and three females). The discussion focused on reviewing the initiative’s detailed implementation plan, strengthening internal coordination, and assigning responsibilities to ensure an organized and effective rollout.
The team also developed a clear action plan to ensure all members fully understand their roles and the initiative’s objectives, with an emphasis on addressing climate challenges that increasingly impact local communities.
