As part of the Public Aid Organization’s efforts to promote human rights and democratic participation, and with the support of the Norwegian People’s Aid, in cooperation with the Ozone Network for Environmental Preservation, an awareness seminar was held in Duhok Governorate on August 6, 2025, with the participation of 25 members of the local community.
The seminar, implemented by the Kurdistan Water Organization, one of the member organizations of the Ozone Network focused on climate change, its causes, impacts, and ways to adapt to it and mitigate its future effects.
This event is part of a series of fifty seminars planned for implementation across various Iraqi governorates, aimed at raising community awareness about climate change, highlighting its significance, and emphasizing the need to address it seriously at both the local and national levels.
