In a scene that blended environmental awareness with community engagement, Dhi Qar Governorate hosted an inspiring awareness seminar on October 7, 2025, as part of the project “Improving Human Rights Conditions and Enhancing Democratic Participation”, implemented by the Public Aid Organization (PAO) with the support of the Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) and in partnership with the Ozone Network for Environmental Preservation.
The seminar, attended by 21 representatives of civil society organizations, was organized in collaboration with the Environmental Protection and Improvement Directorate and the Saba Center for Studies and Human Development, a member of the Ozone Network in Erbil.
Discussions focused on climate change, mitigation strategies, and adaptation mechanisms, offering participants a space to exchange practical ideas and local solutions for addressing environmental challenges.
This seminar is one of fifty sessions being held across Iraq to raise environmental awareness, highlight the urgency of climate change, and inspire collective action toward a more balanced and sustainable future.
