In Erbil, through a partnership between the International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA) and the Public Aid Organization (PAO), more than 20 local NGOs from across Iraq gathered for a strategic workshop titled:
“Advocacy Through Networking: The Power of Local NGO Networks in Iraq.”
Over two days (4–5 August 2025), participants explored how building networks and alliances can become a driving force for change, strengthening coordination, influencing policies, and shaping a better future for their communities.
Building on this momentum, and with the support of ICVA and PAO, the Iraq Network for Coordination and Cooperation was launched on 6 August 2025. This locally led initiative aims to serve as a transparent, collaborative, and trusted platform bringing together local and international organizations.
