The Public Aid Organization (PAO) in Nineveh concluded its humanitarian initiative in the Al-Sharqat District of Salah al-Din Governorate through a distinguished event held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, under the title “A Child’s Joy”, organized by the local Peace Committee in Al-Sharqat.
The initiative aimed to strengthen social cohesion and support families returning to their areas by distributing school bags and stationery to children in need across several schools in the district, benefiting 80 children of both genders.
This initiative is part of the project “Enhancing Community Cohesion through Local Peace Committees in the Post-Conflict Phase”, implemented by the Public Aid Organization (PAO) in the governorates of Nineveh, Salah al-Din, and Kirkuk, with support and funding from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
