Maysan province hosted an awareness seminar titled “Climate Change: Challenges, Adaptation, and Response,” with the participation of 22 representatives from government institutions, activists, academics, and community leaders.
The seminar was implemented by Qabaa Foundation for Women’s Affairs, a member of the Ozone Network in Maysan, as part of the project “Improving Human Rights and Promoting Democratic Participation,” carried out by PAO with support from the Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) and in partnership with the Ozone Network for Environmental Protection.
The event highlighted the accelerating impacts of climate change and ways to address and adapt to them. It is part of a series of 50 seminars across Iraq’s provinces aimed at raising environmental awareness and strengthening community participation in climate-related issues.
