Mosul Steps Forward for Climate Awareness

As part of the project “Improving Human Rights Conditions and Enhancing Democratic Participation”, implemented by the Public Aid Organization with the support of the Norwegian People’s Aid and in partnership with the Ozone Network for Environmental Preservation, an awareness seminar was held in Mosul on September 10, 2025, with the participation of 22 local community members.

The seminar, organized by the Tigris Protectors Association (a member of the Ozone Network), focused on climate awareness concepts, the importance of adaptation and its strategies, as well as encouraging proactive climate action to mitigate the impacts of climate change.

This activity is part of a broader series of 50 seminars across Iraqi provinces, aiming to highlight climate change, raise awareness of its dimensions, and inspire communities to take an active role in facing this global challenge.
