In a scene reflecting the spirit of connection and togetherness, the youth of the Public Aid Organization (PAO) in Ninewa Governorate welcomed a delegation from Kirkuk on Friday, September 19, 2025, as part of the activities of the project “Enhancing Social Cohesion through Local Peace Committees,” implemented by one of the Peace Committees in Kirkuk.
The visit aimed to strengthen ties between the two governorates and promote the values of coexistence and peace. The delegation toured various landmarks in Mosul, including the Great Mosque, several historic art museums, and traditional markets and alleyways that capture the city’s deep cultural heritage.
During the visit, the delegation expressed admiration for Mosul’s remarkable recovery and progress following its liberation from ISIS, praising the city’s resilience and ability to rise again as a symbol of Iraq’s cultural and civilizational diversity.
Once again, Ninewa stands as a bridge of peace, connecting hearts before cities, and reminding all that Iraq’s strength lies in its unity and shared future.
