The Public Aid Organization, in partnership with the IOL and the NPA organizations, and with the support of the European Union, has concluded specialized training for social researchers working in juvenile correctional facilities in Baghdad and Dohuk governorates.
The training was held during the period from January 17 to 18, 2025, within the framework of the project “Promoting Fair Trials, Improving Conditions of Detention and Abolishing Torture.”
The training program focused on providing psychological and social support to the age groups from 10 to 13 years, as it focused on enhancing the practical skills of social researchers and applying best practices in dealing with juveniles inside correctional centers.
The results of the training highlighted many positive indicators and highlighted inspiring success stories from the reality of correctional facilities, reflecting the impact of supporting programs in improving the detention environment and effectively rehabilitating juveniles.
