In the Sulaymaniyah reformatories, the value of a woman is measured by what she can achieve, not by what she has gone through.
Despite the challenges, women find a passion to learn new skills, such as the candle making course opened by the Public Aid Organization as part of the Nonformal Education project on Monday, January 20, 2025.
The course comes as a first step aimed at empowering and enhancing the participants ‘ abilities to acquire practical and creative skills, which qualifies linking these women with marketing opportunities that help them promote their products as a first step towards economic independence.
