A session to discuss environmentally supportive legislation was held in Baghdad as part of a series of activities led by the Public Aid Organization (PAO) within the framework of the project “Improving the Human Rights Conditions and Enhancing Democratic Participation,” funded by the Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA).
Over the past year, the project has worked to open the file on environmental legislation and align it with climate change challenges, through a range of targeted activities aimed at supporting environmental policies and strengthening institutional partnerships.
In this context, an in-person session was held in cooperation with the National Security Advisory – Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies in Baghdad on Thursday, 29 January 2026, during which possible pathways for change, mechanisms for joint cooperation, and key recommendations from relevant governmental entities were discussed.
