The Public Aid Organization in Erbil governorate participated in a meeting with the General Directorate of Corrections, with the aim of reviewing the courses of action and activities in 2024.
The meeting discussed the importance of the role of organizations in developing the level of staff and improving the conditions of correctional institutions in the Kurdistan region.
At the end of the meeting, the plan of the Non-Formal Education project was reviewed, which included the establishment of a vocational course for 40 female detainees in women’s correctional institutions, the training of male and female teachers in correctional institutions, in addition to continuing awareness campaigns about drugs and their effects on society.
