As part of ongoing efforts to promote human rights and democratic participation, and within the activities of the “Improving the Human Rights Condition and Enhancing Democratic Participation” project, the Public Aid Organization, with the support of the Norwegian People’s Aid and in partnership with the Ozone Network for Environmental Preservation, organized an important awareness seminar in the city of Mosul on August 2, 2025.
The seminar was implemented by the Ninawa Bloom Organization for Agricultural and Environmental Development, one of the active members of the Ozone Network, and was attended by 22 participants from the local community in Mosul. The participants engaged in interactive discussions on the challenges of climate change, ways to address and adapt to it, particularly in light of its increasing impacts on the environment and the agricultural sector.
This event is part of a series of fifty seminars being held across various Iraqi governorates, aimed at raising awareness about climate change and encouraging local communities to adopt sustainable environmental practices that will enable them to face future crises.
