Jamjamal opens a Dialogue with Nature to discuss Climate Change

In the heart of Chamchamal district in Sulaymaniyah province, 14 representatives of the local community gathered on August 6, 2025, to share knowledge and insights on one of the most pressing issues of our time: climate change.

The seminar, organized as part of the “Improving the Human Rights Condition and Enhancing Democracy Participation EDP” project implemented by the Public Aid Organization with support from the Norwegian People’s Aid and in partnership with the Ozone Network for Environmental Preservation, was carried out by the Ayinda Organization for Environmental Protection, one of the active members of the network.

During the meeting, participants discussed climate challenges, ways to address them, and the importance of adapting to their impacts in both the near and long term.

It is worth noting that this event is one of fifty seminars held across various Iraqi provinces, aiming to shed light on the phenomenon and build collective environmental awareness that contributes to safeguarding the future of generations.
