On August 25, 2025, the city of Kut hosted an awareness activity with the participation of 20 members of the local community in Wasit, focusing on climate change, its impacts, and adaptation strategies.
The event is part of the project “Improving the Human Rights Condition and Promoting Democratic Participation”, implemented by the Public Aid Organization with support from the Norwegian People’s Aid and in partnership with the Ozone Network for Environmental Preservation.
The seminar was organized by Ana Wasit Organization for Women and Children Support, a member of the Ozone Network in Wasit, where participants engaged with the content and explored practical strategies to mitigate the impacts of climate change on their local communities.
This seminar is one of fifty organized across all Iraqi provinces, as part of a campaign aimed at raising environmental awareness and promoting community participation in addressing climate challenges.
