Fifty awareness seminars are being held across Iraqi provinces to highlight the phenomenon of climate change and ways to address it. Kut was one of its notable stops on August 5, 2025, where 20 participants from the teaching staff gathered for a session dedicated to discussing adaptation strategies for this global challenge.
The seminar was organized by Ana Wasit Organization for the Support of Women and Children, a member of the Ozone Network for Environmental Preservation, as part of the “Improving the Human Rights Condition and Enhancing Democracy Participation EDP” project, implemented by the Public Aid Organization with support from the Norwegian People’s Aid.
This event aimed to shed light on climate change as an urgent issue and to emphasize the importance of raising environmental awareness within the local community.
