As part of ongoing efforts to address climate change and promote environmental awareness, Larsa Organization, one of the member entities of the Ozone Network for Environmental Preservation, organized an awareness seminar in Basra Governorate on July 19, 2025, with the participation of 18 individuals from the local community.
The seminar was held within the framework of the project “Improving the Human Rights Conditions and Enhancing the Democracy Participated EDP,” implemented by the Public Aid Organization with support from the Norwegian People’s Aid and in cooperation with the Ozone Network.
The event highlighted the phenomenon of climate change and discussed ways to adapt to its growing impacts, as well as the necessary mechanisms for community-based response. This seminar is one of fifty planned to be held across all Iraqi governorates, aiming to build a shared national awareness around this critical issue.
