As part of the “Improving Human Rights Conditions and Enhancing Democratic Participation” project, implemented by the Public Aid Organization (PAO) with support from the Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) and in partnership with the Ozone Network for Environmental Protection, an awareness-raising seminar was held in Basra Governorate on June 28, 2025, with the participation of 14 members of the local community. The seminar was organized by Larsa Organization, one of the member organizations of the Ozone Network. It focused on climate change, methods for addressing it, and adaptation strategies.
This seminar is part of a series of fifty workshops to be held across the Iraqi governorates, aiming to shed light on the phenomenon of climate change and enhance public awareness about it.
