Under the auspices of the Public Aid Organization (PAO), and in cooperation with the National Security Advisory – Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies, a dialogue session was held today in Baghdad as part of the project “Improving Human Rights Conditions and Enhancing Democratic Participation.” The session was attended by the Deputy Minister of Environment, a representative of the Council of Representatives, and a number of civil society organizations.
The session reviewed the draft amendments to Environmental Protection and Improvement Law No. 27 of 2009, discussing the proposals submitted and the key amendments under consideration, in preparation for forwarding the draft to the relevant legislative authorities.
