Organized by the Green Growth Center for Community and Environmental Development, a member of the Ozone Network for Environmental Protection, an awareness seminar was held in Basra on July 19, 2025, with the participation of 20 members of the local community. The seminar focused on the issue of climate change, exploring its growing impact on the environment and society, while emphasizing practical approaches for adaptation and local response.
This activity is part of the project “Improving the Human Rights Condition and Enhancing Democratic Participation EDPP” implemented by the Public Aid Organization with support from Norwegian People’s Aid and in partnership with the Ozone Network.
The seminar is one of a series of 50 awareness sessions planned across all Iraqi provinces, aimed at raising public awareness and highlighting the urgent challenges posed by climate change.
