As part of the project “Improving Human Rights Condition and Enhancing Democratic Participation (EDP)” implemented by the Public Aid Organization (PAO) with the support of the Norwegian People’s Aid and in partnership with the Ozone Network for Environmental Preservation, an awareness seminar on climate change was held in Erbil Governorate on July 9, 2025, with the participation of 25 school principals.
The seminar was implemented in partnership between the Environmental Preservation and Improvement Authority and the member organizations of the Ozone Network in Erbil, namely:
- Public Aid Organization (PAO)
- Khorsak Organization
- Meteorology Organization for Natural Disasters
The seminar focused on the issue of climate change, ways to address it, and methods for adaptation. It is worth mentioning that this seminar is part of a series of fifty awareness seminars being conducted across various Iraqi governorates, aimed at shedding light on the phenomenon of climate change and promoting community awareness about it.
