As part of its ongoing efforts to build the capacities of civil society and strengthen the efficiency of its institutions, the Public Aid Organization (PAO), in partnership with the NGO Directorate, organized an online training titled “Financial Management in Non-Governmental Organizations” on Saturday, October 18, 2025, within the framework of the Institutional Development Program.
The training brought together representatives from 34 non-governmental organizations affiliated with the Prisoners’ Justice Network and the Ozone Network for Environmental Preservation — organizations that had previously undergone institutional assessment. The session aimed to empower them to manage their financial resources effectively and transparently.
This program is part of a broader vision to enhance the independence of NGOs in Iraq, strengthen their institutional performance in line with the principles of good governance, and enable them to play an active role in achieving sustainable development and securing funding opportunities to implement impactful and lasting community initiatives.
