As part of the Enhancing Democracy and Human Rights Program implemented by the Public Aid Organization with the support of the Norwegian People’s Aid Organization, a youth festival entitled “Art for Participation” was opened in Erbil on Friday, December 27, 2024.
The two-day festival included various artistic and cultural activities, including visits to Erbil’s archaeological sites, peer-to-peer Dialogues, a photo exhibition, and short films.
The festival, in which fifty young men and women from various Iraqi governorates participate, aims to invest in artistic and cultural activities as dynamic tools to increase the participation and empowerment of young people and create mechanisms and an appropriate environment for them to discuss their needs and aspirations. This festival is expected to strengthen the spirit of unity and cohesion among young people at the level of Iraq.
