Within the activities of the project “Enhancing the Economic Recovery of Small and Agricultural Projects PERMA2”, the Public Aid Organization PAO – Nineveh Office held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, a conference on “Electronic Extortion and Sustainable Solutions in Nineveh” with the participation of stakeholders from judicial, legislative, governmental, academic, security institutions (community police and the National Security Agency), religious, tribal and Facebook activists, where the conference highlighted the dangers of electronic extortion on society and its impact on social cohesion and the roles of the concerned institutions in reducing Risks and urging legislative authorities to enact laws criminalizing electronic extortion in society At the end of the conference, the attendees signed a document of principles on “combating electronic extortion in Nineveh Governorate”
