On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, the Public Aid Organization (PAO) in Nineveh received a high-level delegation from the British Council, headed by the Country Director and accompanied by several council officials.
The delegation was welcomed by the PAO Nineveh office staff, the Programs Director, and a group of young participants from the “Youth Connect” project.
The visit included an open discussion session with the youth, focusing on the project’s impact, the extent to which participants benefited from the skills gained throughout the implementation phases, as well as the key challenges and opportunities encountered during project activities.
The British Council Country Director expressed his admiration for the project’s concept, particularly its innovative use of Nineveh’s cultural and tourist sites as venues for activities, which strengthens young people’s connection to their city’s heritage and provides them with space for creativity and active engagement.
This visit comes within the framework of strengthening cooperation between the Public Aid Organization (PAO) and the British Council and supporting youth initiatives that contribute to building a more cohesive and innovative society.
