On July 20, 2025, an awareness seminar on climate change was held in Diyala Governorate, with the participation of 20 members of the local community. The seminar was part of the project “Improving the Human Rights Condition and Enhancing Democratic Participation,” implemented by the Public Aid Organization with support from Norwegian People’s Aid and in partnership with the Ozone Network for Environmental Preservation.
The event was organized by the Iraq Land Organization for Relief and Development, one of the member organizations of the Ozone Network. It focused on discussing the impacts of climate change, strategies for mitigation, and the importance of adapting to its effects on local communities. This seminar is one of fifty awareness events being held across various provinces in Iraq, as part of a national campaign aimed at raising environmental awareness and highlighting the climate challenges facing the country.
