In November 2024, the Public Aid Organization, in cooperation with the High Commission for Human Rights, concluded a specialized training program to enhance the skills and capabilities of the commission’s staff in awareness and education. The training included the staff of the national office and the governorate offices and addressed such central topics as national and international protection mechanisms, the institutional context in Iraq, and decision-making mechanisms, in addition to developing effective media strategies and advocacy mechanisms through the media.
This activity is part of the project “Promoting the Right to Fair Trials, Improving Detention Conditions and Abolishing Torture,” implemented by the PAO in partnership with the IOL and the NPA and with the support of the European Union.
The project aims to strengthen the rule of law and human rights by building the capacities of relevant cadres, ensuring a more just Environment.
