Within the activities of (Enhancing democratization and human rights program), PAO in four Iraqi governorates (Erbil, Nineveh, Baghdad, Basra) with its partners in the Community Participation Center (Erbil Provincial Council, voluntary teams in Nineveh, Baghdad governorate, Ana Basri organization) conducted a study during April and May 2022 on (policies, procedures, and instructions that obstruct and encourage the participation of women, youth and marginalized groups in the economic, administrative and political fields).
The study consisted of conducting interviews with a hundred people from each governorate, including youth, women and people with special needs, & with ten people from decision-makers from each governorate as well, as well as conducting three focused grouped sessions with young people, women and people with special needs in order to define policies and procedures And instructions that obstruct and encourage the participation of women, youth and marginalized groups in the economic, administrative and political fields in order to work to activate encouraging policies and work to amend obstructive policies and identify the most important areas that need to legislate policies that encourage participation.
