As part of the series of trainings implemented under the project “Improving the Human Rights Situation and Enhancing Democratic Participation” the Public Aid Organization (PAO) conducted its final training in Baghdad from April 26 to 27, 2026. This step marks a transition toward a new phase focused on establishing advisory centers to support civil society work.
The training aimed to build the capacities of active civil groups, with support from the Norwegian People’s Aid, and included participants representing six civil society organizations.
The sessions focused on developing collaborative work skills, strengthening mechanisms for civic participation, and enhancing the ability of organizations to influence decision-making processes, in line with the project’s objectives.
In addition, the training addressed ways to improve communication between citizens and local authorities, contributing to greater transparency and the promotion of democratic participation.
This training represents the final step in a series of activities, paving the way for a new practical phase aimed at establishing advisory centers that will support civil society and strengthen its role in achieving positive and sustainable change.
