A dialogue session was held in the city of Erbil on Monday, April 27, 2026, dedicated to discussing amendments to the Environmental Protection and Improvement Law in the Kurdistan Region.
The session was jointly organized by the Public Aid Organization, the Ozone Network, and the Environmental Protection and Improvement Authority, with active participation from representatives of relevant ministries and stakeholders.
The discussions focused on reviewing key achievements in the field of environmental protection, as well as identifying current challenges and outlining future steps to strengthen the legal framework.
The session concluded with an agreement to prepare the first draft of the proposed law amendments by June of this year.
