From April 19 to 28, 2026, a group of students at Fatima Al-Zahraa Accelerated Learning School for Girls in Nineveh went through a different kind of experience, one that combined learning with hands-on practice through a series of life skills trainings organized by the Public Aid Organization (PAO).
Throughout these days, the students engaged in various practical activities focused on developing manual and life skills, within a learning environment that encouraged participation, experimentation, and building new abilities.
The training went beyond traditional education, aiming to connect learning with future work opportunities. This helped the students strengthen their sense of independence and better prepare for supporting themselves and their families, especially amid the challenges faced by communities affected by conflict and displacement.
These activities are part of the Multi-Year Recovery Programme, supported by Education Cannot Wait (ECW), as part of ongoing efforts to promote the social and economic empowerment of students and open pathways toward a more stable future.
