The Public Aid Organization participated in the conference held by the Tammuz Organization for Social Development in collaboration with Iraqi monitoring networks on the impact of the 2023 local elections on electoral reform. on Saturday, March 2, 2024. The conference aimed to review the monitoring report of the Tammuz organization’s network and provide a critical study of the legal framework for electoral reform. Sun Network’s participation, represented by Mr. Hogr Chato, focused on the role of civil society and monitoring networks in elections. The head of Sun Network emphasized the importance of trust in the electoral process, its integrity by its elements, the independence of the Higher Electoral Commission, and the active role of civil society organizations and monitoring networks. He also highlighted the need for a sound political culture through civic education.
