The Public Aid Organization held a dialogue session in Baghdad governorate about (Providing access for People with Disabilities to Secure Transportation Systems) as a part of the Enhancing Democracy Project activities on Thursday 2 May 2024 in collaboration with the Disabled Association in Iraq. With the participation of representatives from the Baghdad Provincial Council, the Department of Disabilities at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the Disability Care Authority, the Traffic Department, the Director of Disabilities in Baghdad Province, as well as relevant associations and organizations, the session was conducted using Braille for writing the agenda and sign language for attendees to increase their representation in the public sphere. Several recommendations were made, including the incorporation of all government plans and programs to be inclusive of people with disabilities and the provision of accessible public transportation for them .
