As part of the Institutional Development Program for Non-Governmental Organizations, implemented by the Public Aid Organization (PAO) in partnership with the NGO Directorate, a specialized online training session on monitoring and evaluation mechanisms in NGOs was held on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
The training brought together representatives from 24 organizations affiliated with the Prisoners’ Justice Network and the Ozone Network for Environmental Preservation, both of which had previously undergone institutional assessment under the same program.
The session aimed to strengthen participants’ capacities to develop effective monitoring and evaluation systems that enhance institutional efficiency, transparency, accountability, and measurable impact in community work.
This training represents a key step in a series of activities designed to empower Iraqi NGOs to play more effective developmental and rights-based roles, while maintaining their independence in accordance with the law, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through sustainable funding and impactful community programs that reflect citizens’ needs and uphold their rights.
